Posts relating to the OGA Diamond Jubilee celebrations 2023. The fleet of nine boats departed Ramsgate, Kent on 1, May 2023. Seven more joined as they left Cowes on 7 May to sail towards Plymouth. On 19 May, the fleet gathered in South Wales. Five boats sailed north up the Welsh coast, whilst the rest made passage for Dublin Bay. The next rendezvous was in Oban, 16 – 18 June. The fleet enjoyed a blustery gathering on the River Tay, 14 – 16 July and the final ‘party’ event in Blyth, 21 – 23 July. Having joined the Jubilee Party on the River Orwell, 2 – 6 August, the fleet have now reached their home ports, completing their circumnavigation.
